The Bengals have shown that they can play good enough defense to get somewhere, now its up to Palmer from 2010 on to be one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. Its time!
4.) Chad Ochocinco wide receiver-Cincinnati Bengals
Ochocinco is a between 1,300-1,600 yard receiver so the 2009 season was below his standards in terms of production. The 2010 season has got to be the year the real Ochocinco emerges after two straight “down” seasons for one of the best receivers in Bengals history.
5.) Jeremy Maclin wide receiver-Philadelphia Eagles
Now that Desean Jackson has showed the world what he can do, now its Maclin’s turn.
6.) Demarcus Ware linebacker-Dallas Cowboys
When he is on, its like playing with fire.
7.) Hakeem Nicks-wide receiver New York Giants
Nicks showed the NFC East among others in 2009, that he can be a force to be reckoned with. Potentially has great hands, good speed, and excitability that the Giants need opposite Steve Smith. Nicks is the only potential star receiver on the Giants roster.
8.) Matthew Stafford quarterback-Detroit Lions
Now that his rookie year is over, its time for him to make that step towards the promised land of stardom, that is of course barring injury.
9.) Andre Johnson wide receiver-Houston Texans
A gifted and underrated football player, enough said.
10.) Eric Berry defensive back-Kansas City Chiefs
The real Berry may not show up until 2011 on down, but in 2010 he will serve notice that he is here and he isn’t going anywhere. A star in the making.
11.) Santonio Holmes wide receiver-New York Jets
This former Super Bowl MVP infuses some potential star power into the Jets receiving core opposite Braylon Edwards. Holmes is a true No.2 receiver and he should be a heck of a complement to Edwards.
12.) Ben Roethlisberger quarterback-Pittsburgh Steelers
After having the whole world it seems hanging him in effigy in the 2010 football offseason, Big Ben can and should use the 2010 season as a way to sort of shut up his critics. This season has to be a “focus and revenge” year for him.
